9 Artists That Should Have Played the Super Bowl Halftime Show
This year's halftime show has had a variety of reactions, many of which have been negative - from Beyonce's Black Panthers controversy to Chris Martin being dubbed the "left shark" of this year's halftime show.
While controversy definitely gets people talkin', it can also make a lot of fans really angry and ruin everyone's week following the Super Bowl.
Here are some ideas as to who should have played the halftime show at Super Bowl 50.
Lady Gaga performed an incredibly beautiful rendition of the National Anthem, and many people were saying her version was better than Whitney Houston's. Needless to say, Gaga stole the show!
There's no doubt she would have been an even better halftime show.
If you want controversy, this would be it.
Not only is Taylor Swift one of the biggest, most relevant artists at the moment, and Kanye is the self-proclaimed greatest artist of all time, but perhaps Kanye could have debuted his latest song in which he disses Taylor! That's great marketing right there.
Foo Fighters are like Switzerland - zero controversy and there's really nothing to hate about them. And they put on a great show.
Plus, everyone seems to forget that Dave Grohl is America's sweetheart, but he is. It's true.
Man oh man, would Fall Out Boy be an energetic halftime show or what! And with Demi Lovato, we'd be able to see them perform the pop version of "Irresistible!" (Maybe NSYNC would make a cameo, too!)
Everyone deserves a second chance!
Garth Brooks sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in 1993. But the man can play shows back to back to back to back to back to back to back........to back to back. Obviously people love him!
And look at how patriotic he is with his red, white, and blue guitar and lumberjack plaid shirt! Shoulda coulda woulda.
