A 4-0 Start Has Resulted in a Trip to the Super Bowl Five Times for Broncos

The Denver Broncos are unbeaten after four games. That has happened only seven times in the team's history. This is the eighth time the Broncos have started 4 & 0. Five of the seven times they have won their first four games, they have made it to the Super Bowl.

 Does This Mean They Will Have a Great Season?

According to NFL Media: Over the last 25 years, 83% of NFL teams that have won their first four games have earned a spot in the postseason.

• 1977 - The Broncos started out 6 & 0. They finished the regular season 12 & 2 and lost to Dallas in the Superbowl.
• 1986 - Denver started 6 & 0 and lost to the Giants in Superbowl XXI. They were 11 & 5 in the regular season.
• 1997 - The Broncos won their first six games and won their first Super Bowl by beating the Packers 31-24.
• 1998 - It was Denver's best start ever. The Broncos won their first 13 games of the season. They Beat the Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII.
• 2003 - The Broncos started 4 & 0, went 10 & 6 and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Peyton Manning and the Colts.
• 2009 - They jumped out to a 6 & 0 start before tumbling to an 8 & 8 finish and missing the playoffs.
• 2013 - Peyton Manning led the Broncos to a 13 & 3 season before losing to the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII
• 2015 - Off to a 4 & 0 start...
