A 56-year-old cyclist died in an accident with a parked car on Saturday (July 16, 2016) in Fort Collins. According to the Coloradoan, the unidentified cyclist hit a parked truck on south Horsetooth road around 10:23 a.m.

Authorities responded when reports came in that a cyclist was spotted lying in the street near Seneca Street. Though there were no witnesses and it has been determined by investigators that the cyclist hit a legally parked truck leading to his life-threatening injuries. The cyclist was transferred to the Medical Center of the Rockies by Pouder Calley EMS. Unfortunately, he succumb to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival to the hospital.
