Unless your an avid skier or ride snowmobiles, most of us have no real use for Winter. So what better way to break up the monotony of Winter than with a lantern festival.

Ault is a very unique town indeed. Well, their moniker is 'A Unique Little Town,' so keeping with tradition, they have come up with a fun way to help us through the boredom we know as Winter.

On Friday, February 13, the town of Ault is inviting everyone to come out and light up the night sky with their very first 'Sweetheart Lantern Festival.' There is only one other in the entire state of Colorado and the town of Ault hopes to make this an annual event.

The event will take place at the Ault fire station (16680 Hwy 14) just West of town on the South side of Highway 14. The cost is $25 per couple and that will get you a lantern with instructions, a lighter, two steamy hot cups of hot chocolate and some Valentines's Day cookies.
