A California-based water bottling company has issued a voluntary recall on 14 of its brands due to a possible contamination of E. coli bacteria. Niagara Bottling discovered the E. coli bacteria in its water source that provided water to their facilities located in Hamburg and Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The recall and possible contamination ONLY affects the products produced at these two locations, between 3 a.m. on June 10, to June 18 at 8 p.m.

The brands that were affected are:

1. Acadia

2. Acme

3. Big Y

4. Best Yet

5. 7-11

6. Niagara

7. Nature’s Place

8. Pricerite

9. Superchill

10. Morning Fresh

11. Shaws

12. Shoprite

13. Western Beef Blue

14. Wegman’s

At this time, the company has received no reports of any illnesses in connection with the possible contamination. However, the possible E. coli contamination can lead to uncomfortable symptoms such as diarrhea, cramps, nausea and headaches.

Niagara Springs announced that they discontinued doing business with the spring one they became aware of the contamination. They also shut down production and disinfected their entire bottling line.
