BREAKING NEWS: Emergency Road Closure in Fort Collins

BNSF Railway has announced an emergency road closure in Fort Collins at North Lemay Avenue and East Vine Drive.

The railway is closing North Lemay Avenue for an emergency railway track repair to fix a break in the rail this afternoon, September 30.

The closure will include all lanes, north and southbound, of North Lemay Avenue, including the bike lanes, south of East Vine Drive. Closure was expected within the 3 o'clock hour for the emergency track repair.

At this time it is unknown how long the closure will last, but it is expected to be through the evening rush hour, and perhaps even longer. A detour route will be posted to direct motorists.

The detour routes are as follows:

• Lincoln Avenue west to Jefferson Street then west to College Avenue
• Lincoln Avenue east to Timberline Road and north to Vine Drive
• East Vine Drive west to College Avenue south to Jefferson Street
• East Vine Drive east to Timberline Road south to Lincoln Avenue
