Each time I watch Breaking Bad(I'm on my fifth time through the series), I believe more and more that Bryan Cranston is a genius.

He is, very simply, one of our best screen actors working today, and has been that for a long time.

From his appearance as a crazy racist on the X-Files years ago...

This full episode is worth watching. It's early in his career, and early in the X-Files legend. It was the kind of episode that showed the kind of extreme subject material that made me love the series.

To the very funny Dr. Tim Whatley on Seinfeld...

Watley was a great example of how great actors blended in to make Seinfeld what it was. No matter the great comedian or actor, they didn't overshadow the stars. They always seemed to add just enough to make the show hilarious.

To the dad on Malcom in the Middle (one series I never got into, but since he's in it, I'm thinking about going back and binge watching it)...

This is a series I will probably dig into someday, and the only reason is because Bryan Cranston is in it.

All the way to the-one-who-knocks, my favorite role of his, and what may be his signature—Walter White and Heisenberg on Breaking Bad.

He's been improving, showing range, and quietly taking over Hollywood.

But there are few actors in the true elite of American entertainment who don't have a gold statue. Roles that will earn him a few of those are probably what we can expect of this great actor in the near future.

Could this be the one?
