It's turning out to be one of the worst seasons in the history of the Colorado Avalanche, and another statistic shows just how bad it has gotten.

According to the Denverite, interest in the team is so bad that ratings have declined close to 57% since last season. This turns out to be the most significant drop out of any team in the entire league.

The television ratings are based on viewership on Altitude Sports Network.

It should come as no surprise that the drop off in ratings correlates with just how bad the season has been going so far. They have the fewest points out of any team in the entire NHL, and rank last in the league in the average amount of goals scored per game, goals allowed per game, and goal differential.

The team recently lost nine in a row but beat Winnipeg on Saturday to break that streak.
