As the Denver Channel reported, a Colorado school district has been using a closest sized room for keeping students isolated for weeks at a time as an alternative to expulsion.

The program in the Center Consolidated School District was designed to keep those students that are disruptive in school, but parents and two school board members are saying it is crossing the line. District leadership admitted to mistakes in the past, but said they are now making changes.
