Tensions are high around Columbine High School, as they are on lockout.

Officials tweeted that classes are going on as scheduled inside the school, but no one is being allowed to leave.

Officials did not release any details about the threat, including whether it involved the school directly or involved something unrelated to the school in the surrounding area.

This is a lockout, not a lockdown situation, meaning classes and business resume as normal. A lockout is used when the threat is outside of the school building, according to school policy.

More info as it becomes available.
