The City of Loveland will host the annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony from 4:30 to 6:30 pm tonight (Wednesday, December 3).  The event will take place at the Civic Center on the corner of Third Street and Washington Avenue.

The Community Tree Lighting Ceremony is a free event that includes live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and holiday treat vendors. The ceremony portion of the event will begin promptly at 5:30 pm and features remarks from Loveland Mayor Cecil Gutierrez and City Manager Bill Cahill.

Entertainment will be provided by the Original Dickens Carolers and horse-drawn carriage rides by Wolf Thunder Run Draft Horses will run for the duration of the evening. Additional activities include indoor photo opportunities with Santa, face-painting, and food/drink/treat vendor booths.

HOLIDAY MOVIES

The Community Tree Lighting Ceremony ends at 6:30 pm, and attendees are encouraged to make their way to the Rialto Theater Center for a special screening of two holiday films: A Christmas Carol (1938) and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.  Tickets to the double feature are $9 for adults and $7 for seniors and students. Individuals who show their program from the Community Tree Lighting will receive a free popcorn to enjoy during the films.
