A 7-year-old grizzly and Syrian brown bear mix named Marley was treated nursed back to health at Colorado State University after being rescued from a Georgia tourist attraction. Marley, who was found lame and suffering was one of 17 bears rescued from their concrete pens nine months ago. Back in February (2014), Marley was brought to Colorado to have her injuries cleaned and repaired. She was suffering many alements, most notably were two broken and infected elbows.

According to the CSU Source, Marley was treated at the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and nine months later after spending several weeks recovering indoors, she is fully recovered. Marley spent her time recovering being entertained by a flat-screen television tuned to cartoons to re-acclimate her to noise. Other agencies from CSU Equine Ambulatory and Avian, Exotic and Zoological Medicine services helped Marley relearn many of the actions needed to survive in her outdoor habitat.

Marley is now fully recovered and will live out her days in the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado. According to the Coloradoan, the Sanctuary Director Rebecca Miceli told a veterinary team who visited that,"Marley if enjoying her freedom." Living in the 20-acre natural habitat they are expecting Marley to live a full life for another 20 plus years.
