Love it or hate it, we are one step closer to having a massive sports park in Northern Colorado. The developers of the Rocky Mountain Sports Park will hold a groundbreaking ceremony next week just north of Windsor.

The ceremony for the future 68-field, 490-acre complex will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 24 at the corner of Colorado Highway 257 and Harmony Road.

According to Biz West, the 490-acre multi-sports complex will be a destination for baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse and football teams from around the world. The facility will include athletic dorms, indoor practice areas and training facilities. Hotels, restaurants, and onsite health care will be incorporated in the development.
