Join in from 5 to 9 p.m. on October 8 and 9, 2015 at Club Tico for Bridges to Healthy Living. Bridges to Healthy Living (BTHL) is a community health expo that shares holistic and mindful approaches to living healthy through DARCIE: Diet and nutrition, Active living, Relaxation, Coping positively to life's challenges, Interconnectedness and Environmental impact on health.

Presentations include How Much Cancer Could We Prevent if We Really Wanted To? by Dr. Tim Byers, Associate Director for Cancer Prevention and Control at the University of Colorado Comprehensive Cancer Center and Associate Dean for Public Health Practice at the Colorado School of Public Health, and Energy Medicine for Cancer Patients by Dr. Susan Lutgendorf, Professor in the Departments of Psychology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Urology and a member of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa.

The event will also include: Healthy food, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), demos, massages, prize drawings, live and silent auctions. Admission is free with early VIP access for $75 per person.

All proceeds will benefit AlterMed Research Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes optimum wellness through integrative medicine. Funds will support AlterMed's mission of educating health care providers and funding research to integrate evidence-based complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) into conventional healthcare.
