So much of what is printed in books, etc. about roses that many gardeners are turned away or discouraged from growing them. Most of that information pertains to growing show roses which required twice the work that a normal garden rose needs. This program is for home gardeners who want to have a beautiful rose to look at and enjoy in their garden and cut to bring into the home. There are highly fragrant roses that will grow well in Colorado and we will share those names. Just as important as learning useful tips for growing good garden roses is knowing what's behind all those stories, i.e. myths about roses. So many are practiced and are not beneficial at all, that it is important to know exactly what is and isn't a good practice. We will cover a number of the more popular ones in this class.
