The public is invited to join Marilyn Murphy, managing partner of ClothRoads, from 6-9 p.m. on September 17, 2015 for a behind the scenes look at textiles and artisans from Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, and the Philippines. Listen to stories of these artisans to see how they are preparing to sustain their heritage of textile crafts into the future. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a Trunk Show, with opportunity to purchase textiles from exotic regions and a tea at 6:30 p.m. The actual Sustaining Vibrant Southeast Asian Artisans presentation stars at 7 p.m. Following the presentation, there will be another opportunity to purchase textiles.
Admission for this event is free for Museum members and $5 for public.
