Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District says they have narrowed down the specific cause of the house explosion in Firestone Monday evening that killed two guys who were replacing a water heater in the basement at the time - but those details aren't being revealed just yet.

What we do know is there are two survivors who were injured, and at least one of them is fighting for her life:  Erin Martinez, who not only lost her husband and her brother in the explosion, but is in the hospital in critical condition.

A GoFundMe page is set up now for this family, and it would be great if you could show some support through a monetary donation.

Another survivor, Erin Martinez, is a science teacher at Rocky Mountain High School, and we're not being told her condition at this time.  We are told the guys working on the water heater were typically very handy and cautious, and one was a master plumber.  Please keep this family in your thoughts.

Every time I hear a tragic story, I am reminded how grateful I am for every loved one in my life and not to take a moment for granted.
