FoCo Roller Derby Black & Blue Ball Returns

If you're ever looking for something fun to get you out on the weekend, I recommend catching a roller derby bout in Fort Collins -- and this one is even better, because everyone is wearing prom dresses.

I've always hated prom dresses. Maybe it's because no one ever asked me to my prom (sigh...), so seeing a bunch of badass roller derby players bout in them is just about the best use for one that I can think of. And, the Black & Blue Ball last year was the first derby bout that I had ever been to, and it inspired me to lace up my own skates!

The 11th Annual Black & Blue Ball will be at The Events Center (formerly Qdoba Events Center) at 218 Smokey Street in Fort Collins on Saturday, October 8, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets start at $10, and there will be an auction, live music, dancing and, of course, brawling.
