With Northern Colorado arguably becoming the Nations destination for craft breweries, it's no surprise that two that call Fort Collins home, found themselves in the top 50 of 2015. According to the Coloradoan, the Brewers Association announced their list of the top 50 craft breweries of 2015 on Monday (April 5, 2016). The list is not an indication of quality of the breweries beer. That is unless you judge quality by sales figures. These are the top 50 breweries in the nation based on beer sales volume

New Belgium Co. held steady, remaining in the top 5, as the 4th best craft brewery in the Nation. Odell Brewer Co. represented, by locking in the 32nd spot on the list.

Not surprisingly, New Belgium and Odell weren't the only Colorado Brewers to be represented on the list. Oskar Blues and Left hand our of Longmont were also recognized in the top 50, at 14 and 39th, while Breckenridge Brewery came in at 47.

Number one on the list was, not surprising to me, Yuengling. D.G. Yuengling and Son, out of Pennsylvania, Americas oldest brewery, and one of the nation's most popular, if you can get your hand on it. It's famous in the beer community for only being sold in a limited number of states, east of the Mississippi.
