We all love our pets, but sometimes the costs to take care of them and ensure their health can sky rocket. Well, help is on the way for those that need it.

According to the Coloradoan, on April 9th - 10th the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association will be partnering with 9News to provide free wellness checks and rabies clinics to those families that are in need.

They expect to have over 1000 free appointments available, with a portion of those happening in Fort Collins.

The Coloradoan states that to participate, call the 9PetCheck live phone bank at 877-369-9021 on Monday between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Appointments will be allocated on a first call, first served basis.
