The latest Greeley-Evans Crime Log is out and while it is not as bad as some of the others, it still keeps me scratching my head. Hats off to our law enforcement!

As the Greeley Tribune reported, the latest Crime Log for Greeley-Evans is out for April 27th through May 3rd.

Check it out below:

Monday, April 27

5:45 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a report of an altercation between a boy and his parents over his cell phone. “I just want officers here,” the boy said crying, according to dispatch logs. “I am trying really hard and I want someone to stand up for me.” Apparently, the argument started because the boy’s parents blocked his girlfriend’s number from his cell phone, which he thought violated his privacy even though his parents pay for the phone and the boy’s plan. He was not happy when officers took his parent’s side.

7:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to Park View Drive for a report of a suspicious person washing the windows of every home on the block.

Wednesday, April 29

11:45 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1400 block of 15th Avenue for a report of a dog that pooped on the caller’s porch again. The caller said she didn’t think there was anything she could do about the ongoing problem because her neighbor’s Chihuaha is a “service dog.” Police told the neighbor to keep her dog on her property.

4:15 p.m.: Evans police responded to a store on 23rd Avenue for a report of a man, who was possibly running from the cops, hiding in the bathroom. Employees called dispatchers back about 15 minutes later to tell them it was a false alarm. There was no one in the bathroom.

8:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to Abbey Road to talk with parents who reported they “found stuff” on their son’s cell phone that they didn’t agree with.

Thursday, April 30

8:30 a.m.: A resident on 11th Avenue called Evans police about raccoons because he did not know what to do with them.

10:30 a.m.: A resident called Evans police because she found a kitten and tried to take it to the animal shelter, but because the shelter didn’t open until 11 a.m. she wanted an officer to take it there for her. Evans police informed the woman it does not run shelter errands for the public.

Friday, May 1

2 a.m.: Evans police responded to 42nd Street for a report of a man running down the street wearing red shorts and a white bed sheet. The caller thought it was suspicious.

Saturday, May 2

3:30 and 4:15 p.m.: Evans police responded to Chesapeake Bay following reports that a resident had a security camera pointed at the living room window of a neighbor’s house.

Sunday, May 3

5:15 a.m.: Evans police responded to 41st Street for a report of an intoxicated woman who could not find her way to her house on 41st Road.
