Saturday, December 5

3 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 600 block of 15th Street for a report of a woman who refused to move out of her mother-in-law’s house. Weld County dispatchers told the caller to initiate the eviction process with the courts, but the caller insisted police respond because “there are other things” that officers needed to know about.

3:15 p.m.: A Virginia Beach resident called Greeley police asking for advice on how to deal with his ex-girlfriend in Greeley who claimed she was pregnant with his kid.

9 p.m.: Greeley police responded to 7th Avenue and 8th Street for a report of an intoxicated 60-year-old man who was hanging on a stop sign to keep from falling down into traffic.

Sunday, December 6

1 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2800 block of 40th Avenue Court for a report of a burglary. The caller said he could hear people in the attic, and suggested police meet him there for a surprise attack by rappelling through a hole in the roof.

10:45 a.m.: A resident in the 1800 block of 7th Avenue called Greeley police to learn what constitutes child porn.

12:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a restaurant in the 3100 block of 23rd Avenue for a report of a man selling Chihuahuas in the parking lot.

1 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 400 block of 11th Street for a noise complaint. The caller asked if his neighbors, who were hosting a traditional Mexican dance event with costumes, had a permit. He didn’t want to file a noise complaint against them, but he also couldn’t hear the football game on TV.

4 p.m.: Greeley police responded to 30th Avenue and 4th Street for a report of a dog off of its leash. The dog wasn’t acting aggressive, and it was with its owner, but the caller wanted police to be informed about the infraction.

Monday, December 7

8:15 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2400 block of 1st Avenue for a report of an adult driving a gold toy car.

11:15 a.m.: A woman residing in the 3100 block of 17th Avenue called dispatchers to report that cats were removing trash from her garbage can. Officers suggested the woman humanely trap the cats, or consider not filling her garbage cans to the point of overflowing.

Noon: Greeley police responded to the 7600 block of Poudre River Road for a harassment complaint. The caller told police a man came to his house and pounded on the door, demanding money. The man was the owner of a roofing company trying to collect.

10:45 p.m.: A man living in an apartment in the 2400 block of 1st Avenue called dispatchers asking to be connected to the Greeley police sergeant or lieutenant in charge of the big drug bust at a warehouse in town. The caller said he was in on the bust — working undercover from a nearby van with no windows — and was willing to cooperate with police to get his “stuff” back.

Tuesday, December 8

9 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 700 block of 7th Street for a report of a man who dug a hole under the building’s loading dock and was sleeping there.

5 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1200 block of 28th Avenue for a harassment report. The caller told police an ex-coworker texted her husband saying she was cheating on him, and now the husband was mad at her.

5:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 3700 block of 25th Street for a harassment report. The caller told police an ex-roommate routinely called 911 to report he is a drug dealer because of a civil issue over property.

7:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1600 block of 8th Avenue for a caller who reported “something wrong with my mind.”

9 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 3700 block of 24th Street for some ding-dong ditchers.

Wednesday, December 9

7:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 800 block of 17th Street for a report of a man walking down the street with shoes on the wrong feet.
