Some of the calls that the Greeley-Evans Crime Log have really just make you go what is going on in that area. From weird sounds, roommates and another woman, it has it all.

As the Greeley Tribune reported, the Greeley-Evans Crime Log is out for May 1st through May 6th.

Friday, May 1

9 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1700 block of 11th Avenue for a report of a dog that was placed outside in its kennel without the owner’s permission. The owner suspected her roommate put the dog outside and said police should respond because she would not be able to control her anger when the roommate returned home.

Saturday, May 2

Noon: Greeley police responded to the 1000 block of 14th Street for a report of an argument between a man and a woman over utility bills. The man was upset with the woman because she ran up the charges, but refused to pay a portion of the bills. The woman tried to claim harassment because the man was nagging her about it.

12:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1800 block of 2nd Avenue for a report of a strange sound coming from a person’s TV.

6:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to 13th Avenue and 26th Street for a report of a man punching and yelling at a doll.

Sunday, May 3

12:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1400 block of 10th Street to talk to a resident about his Russian roommate. The man said he helped the Russian find a job, but he was now causing problems. He couldn’t understand, “How we came to accept him in America.”

1:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1400 block of 9th Street for a report of a stolen bag of grass clippings.

6:30 p.m.: Evans police responded to Cedar Lane for a report of an argument between a man and a woman. The woman was upset because the man “half spent the night” with another woman.

11 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a liquor store in the 1100 block of 9th Street for a report of an intoxicated man practicing karate moves in the reflection of the store’s window. The man also urinated under the street light.

Monday, May 4

9:30 a.m.: Greeley police were called to respond to 34th Avenue to help a parent deal with her teenage daughter who is habitually late to school.

5 p.m.: Greeley police responded to C Street for a report of a 9-year-old kid who was being mean to a 6-year-old. The 6-year-old, who initiated the call, told dispatch he would say hi to the officer when he arrived and point out the mean kid, but added he didn’t want the 9-year-old to go to jail. He just wanted him to be nice.

Tuesday, May 5

7:15 a.m.: Evans police responded to Cedar Park Drive and Dry Creek Road for a report of raw, cut up chicken on the side of the road.

11:45 a.m.: Greeley police responded to a fast food restaurant in the 1000 block of 8th Avenue on a report of an intoxicated person in the parking lot. The caller said the man had a bottle of whiskey with him, and he was having trouble putting on his shoes. While the caller was talking to dispatchers, the intoxicated man poured the contents of the whiskey bottle onto his face.

1 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2500 block of 16th Avenue for a report of an aggressive rooster.

Wednesday, May 6

9:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1700 block of 15th Avenue for a report of a woman who believed her co-workers had hacked into her cell phone and were listening to her private conversations. The woman couldn’t articulate for police why she believed her phone had been tapped or what conversations may have been listened to by her co-workers. When asked if she needed to see a doctor, the woman told police she underwent a mental evaluation several years ago in Fort Collins, but hadn’t returned since.

1:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to 4th Street and 59th Avenue for a report of a red leash attached to a blue walker, but no person or dog in the area.

7:15 p.m.: Evans police responded to State Farm Road for a report of a tenant who had his power turned off by his landlord. The tenant called Xcel and learned he was in good standing. The landlord denied turning off the power to officers, who informed him it would be illegal for him to do so.
