It's always fun to see the variety of different colors and styles that skiers and snowboarders are wearing up on the mountains, but on December 12 the slopes at Crested Butte, will have a much more uniform look to them, as over 600 red-suited Santas all make their way down at once and become a part of history.

Every year, the resort hosts sells out for this famous event, and also sets a new World Record for the most skiing Santas in one place. The fun-filled, festive day is broken down into two parts – The Santa Group Ski and The Santa Pub Crawl.

The Santa Ski is open to all ages, all you need to do to participate is wear your red suit, which you can either make, bring or buy for $20 if they haven't already sold out. A ski pass is also required in order to actually get on the mountain, but will be offered at a discounted price of $23 for anyone in a full Santa suit (Suits must have a top, bottom, hat and beard for discount). Have another costume you'd like to wear instead? Feel free to show off your holiday spirit as much as you'd like, but other costumes will not be included in the record counting.

The Santa Pub Crawl is $30 and comes with a FREE fleece Santa suit and five drinks. The Crawl begins at the mid-mountain Ice Bar and continues on to five other locations, with a break in the afternoon for the Santa Group Ski. Participants must be 21 years or older to partake in the crawl. Ski, drink, and be merry!

The lifts will be opening at 9 a.m. for this event. To register for the Santa Ski and Crawl or for more information, visit https://www.cbsantacrawl.com/.
