Sure, some people go ALL out with their Christmas spirit, but other people even take it a step further and wind up setting records due to their extravagant holiday enthusiasm. Largest Collection of Santa Claus Memorabilia

Jean-Guy Laquerre, a Santa souvenir enthusiast, holds the record for this wacky category. As of November 2010, Laquerre had around 25,104 different items of Santa Claus memorabilia at his Canadian abode. He has been collecting since 1988. His collection includes 2,360 figurines, 2,846 cards and postcards from 33 counties, 1,312 serviettes and 241 pins and brooches. We just want to know where he stores his massive St. Nick collection in the summer months?

Largest Residential Christmas Light Display

An Australian family is very proud of their recent Guinness World Record title for having the residential property with the most Christmas lights. The Gay's property features 601,736 lights that are in the form of rainbows, ice cream, stars, and blinking holiday scenes. One tree alone, has over 5,000 lights wrapped around it, and took two days to decorate. The family accepts donations from viewers and beneficiaries include services for domestic violence victims, as well as to a fund at the fire department. The record prior to 2014 was 502,165 lights, also held by an Australian resident.

Multiple cities participate in events like SantaCon or Santa pub crawls, where huge groups gather, all dressed like Old St. Nick. However, no city has came close to the record of having the most Santa Claus' in one place, than Derry City in Northern Ireland. In 2007, over 13,000 participants gathered at Guildhall Square, all while donning puffy red suits and white beards.

 Most People Christmas Caroling Together

A church in Connecticut set the record for having the most carolers going door-to-door at one time. Typical caroling includes a few neighbors or friends getting together to spread cheer through song, but the Unitarian Church of Wesport managed to assemble a group of 502 singers that ventured to 14 houses, stopping to sing two songs at each.

The Most Expensively Dressed Christmas Tree

Standing tall at 295 feet, the world's largest artificial Christmas Tree resides in Mexico City, Mexico. The 114-foot wide tree is composed of steel wires and holds over 1.2 million light bulbs.
