The Pine Creek Eagles had gone 37 games without a loss. They were the #1 ranked team in the state, as well. Loveland was ranked at #13. Yet, the Loveland Indians won the game and advance to the State Championships!

The Indians were down 14-6 at halftime at Patterson Stadium on Saturday (November 28, 2015), but came back to score 20 unanswered points to win the game, 14-26.  They were taking on the #1 ranked Pine Creek Eagles from Colorado Springs (the defending 4A champions) in the state 4A Semifinals. The Eagles had at 37-game winning streak going, too. Too bad!

With the, what everyone is calling ‘shocking’, win the Loveland Indians (8-5) are now readying themselves to take on the Windsor Wizards (12-1) for the 4A State Championship game, which will be held Saturday, December 5th at Sports Authority Field at 11 a.m.

This is the first time since 2006, that the Indians have made an appearance at the championship game.
