North Lake Park in Loveland will be the place to be to celebrate the nation's birthday!

Make plans to get up early and get to Loveland's North Lake Park to steak out your spot for July 4, 2018!

The day kicks off with a Flag Raising Ceremony at 10 a.m. with Boy Scout Troop 81 from St. John’s School presenting the colors and the Trumpet Trio (Drew Holmes, Ralph Trenary and Eric Weedin) playing the National Anthem. Daughters of the American Revolution, Namaqua Chapter, will also be present.

Daytime entertainment will include a Vintage Motor Car Club show, Breathless in Berthoud English Renaissance dancing at 1:30 p.m., plus food vendors, informational booths, and Lone Tree Schoolhouse tours 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the Loveland Historical Society. The Lions Club will provide train rides on the North Lake Park train beginning at 11 a.m. At 8 p.m. the Loveland Concert Band will perform Loveland's patriotic favorites at the Hammond Amphitheater until the fireworks show begins at approximately 9:17 p.m. Fireworks will run for about 30 minutes and conclude with a grand finale of close to 500 shots.

Parking will be frustrating for sure-- Loveland High School's lot will be open, but there will be a fee to park there, so maybe find a great spot in one of the bordering neighborhoods and hike in/out- and get a little exercise on the 4th!
