Marijuana Growing Regulations in Fort Collins Get the Facts

It is pretty commonplace these days to hear of people, your neighbors and others growing marijuana, but what are the growing regulations in Fort Collins? It's time to get the facts.

Coming up next week the City of Fort Collins will consider additional regulations for non-business growers during an open house. Specifically at hand will be regulations aimed at growers that utilize non-residential spaces and warehouses.

The city wants to make sure that potential issues are regulated and addressed. Some issues that are up for consideration are to ensure proper fire hazard and safety measures are being taken.

The city will also address creating clear lines to show who the responsible parties are for the plants and will pursue preventative nuisance odors and issues related to growing marijuana.

The regulations up for review will only impact caregivers and those who grow for personal use.

The open house will be held Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 4:30 in the downtown library.
