At a press conference yesterday at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, the Colorado Ice of the Indoor Football League made their biggest change in team history as they are now known as the "Colorado Crush".

CEO Art Clarkson along with co-owners Tom and Patty Wigley made the announcement in front of a packed room of media and loyal Colorado Ice fans.

Does the same "Colorado Crush" sound familiar to you? If so, you are one of many who remember the team of the same name that played in the Arena Football League in Denver from 2003 - 2008. That team was owned by current Broncos General Manager John Elway. Elway has no affiliation with the current reincarnation of the Crush.

When the AFL suspended play in 2009 due to financial issues, the team never returned to action. They were the winners of the AFL Title in 2005.

In other news, the Colorado Crush also announced yesterday that their season is being expanded to 16 games for the 2016 campaign.
