Searchers have found pieces of a plane after a crash was reported Thursday on the Western Slope.

The Rio Blanco County Sheriff's Office received a call on Thursday at 6 p.m. about a plane revving its engine, followed by sounds of an explosion, near Meeker.

Air traffic controllers at Denver Center Traffic Control confirmed the plane disappeared from radar and gave deputies the coordinates.

Searchers found the plane's wing, part of a propeller, and a tire.

So far, no victims have been found, reports 7NEWS. The search will continue Friday morning.

The plane was reported to be a Bonaza 35 single engine aircraft that could carry 4 to 6 people. It was flying from Salt Lake City to Granby.
