On August 2, Facilities Management at CU-Boulder tweeted out to students and faculty, warning them not to badger the wild animal that had been spotted hanging out on campus earlier in the week.

That's because it was an actual badger, which are not only rare to see in urban areas, but can also be extremely fierce and dangerous too. This is the first time that this type of critter has been found on campus, and if more sightings continue, Colorado Parks and Wildlife will attempt to capture the badger and relocate it.

University of Wisconsin-Madison poked fun at the tweet, replying back with this:

Anyone who spots the badger on CU's campus is asked to call the Operations Control Center at 303-492-5522.
