In celebration of Earth Day this month, the Fort Collins web design and SEO company, iPoint, will be hosting their fourth annual Flowers for Towers recycling event on April 21-22. During these two days, community members are encouraged to drop off old computers, in addition to other computer hardware items, like PC’s, laptops, and servers, where they will then be properly disposed of. Please note that computer monitors, copiers, scanners and printers are excluded from being accepted. Each PC or server that's dropped off will have its hard drive wiped clean or destroyed by I.T. Refresh Equipment before being recycled.

It is completely free to drop off your recyclables, and those who do stop by will also receive a $5 gift certificate to Fort Collins Nursery. During the event, participants will have the chance to win other raffle giveaways from additional sponsors too. The drop-off area is at iPoint’s office, located at 135 West Swallow, Building A in Fort Collins. Drop-off hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Last year, the Flowers for Towers recycling drive collected over 30,000 pounds of e-waste, which prevented tons of dangerous toxins and hazardous electronic materials from entering our landfills.
