A sinkhole in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Denver made the morning drive difficult for residents and commuters Friday morning.

The sinkhole, caused by a 6-inch-diameter water main break, popped up in the intersection of West Eighth Avenue and Delaware Street, prompting road closures. One business and 6 residential customers were without water due to the break.

The cause of the water main break is unknown, but Denver Water said repairs should be done around noon Friday, reports 9NEWS.
