We have been following the story about the human skeletal remains that were found in Greeley earlier this week, but the answer still seems to be unclear.

According to the Greeley Tribune, the body was discovered on Tuesday, about a half mile west of 35th Avenue along the train tracks between F and G streets. It was found by a worker who was using a backhoe to remove a tree along the tracks.

While the body has yet to be identified by police, they have determined that it does not belong to 23-year-old Tina Tournai-Sandoval or 12-year-old Jonelle Matthews, two women who went missing from the area and were never found. One theory that authorities do have, is that the remains could possibly be from a transient who jumped from a moving train, being as they were found so close to the railroad tracks.

Investigators are continuing to collect evidence and believe that they will be able to identify the remains after the autopsy is complete on Friday.
