Stuart Scott, a long time sports anchor with ESPN, died this morning at the age of 49. Scott had been battling cancer for years. He will be missed by many.

Stuart Scott, who was seen for 21 years as a Sports Center anchor on ESPN, was first diagnosed with cancer in 2007 but went into remission in 2012. It was in 2013 that he announce it was back and again started chemotherapy.

Today, the fight is over.

Stuart Scott was well known for his strong emotional welfare, on and off the set of ESPN, and also recently received the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance at the 2014 ESPYs and gave an inspiring speech which you can see below.
