Fox's 'X Factor' got a bit of surprise star power Wednesday night when Sophie Tweed-Simmons, daughter of Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed, auditioned for the singing competition, impressing the judges enough to be passed along to the next round.

July 9′s episode of ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ — titled ‘Kiss A Vet’ — begins at Gene’s restaurant chain Rock & Brews, which is known for hiring veterans before anyone else. There he honors the vets with a $25,000 check.

This week’s episode of ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ — airing July 2 and titled ‘Baby On Board?’ — starts out in therapy, with Dr. Wexler coming to the obvious and apparent conclusion that Gene does not want to adopt a child, a fact he has not shared with his eager-to-adopt-wife Shannon.

The recent announcement that Madonna will be performing during the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show in February certainly doesn’t sit well with Gene Simmons. The Kiss singer has bashed Madge’s involvement, insisting that the show would be better of with a “real band.”
