Politics bring out all sorts of emotions in people – especially during election years. There's feelings of tension, confusion, happiness, anger, and in this year's case, even humor, that get stirred up throughout the course of the presidential race.

On October 9, just in time for the upcoming election, and adding more humor than we've already witnessed thus far in the campaign trail, is a live performance of "The Capitol Steps: What To Expect When You're Electing," at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins. The Capitol Steps are an American political satire group that have been performing around the country since 1981, and have released over thirty-five albums, consisting primarily of song parodies. This particular performance is centered around the 2016 presidential election, and features hilarious skits such as Donald Trump singing a rock song, Hillary Clinton entertaining the audience with stand-up comedy, and Bernie Sanders singing a show tune. The Capitol Steps do not use any profanity in their routines. However, when acting out certain scandals from various times throughout history, some songs/subjects/routines may include suggested innuendos.

The one-night-only live performance of "The Capitol Steps: What To Expect When You're Electing" happens at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 9. Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased online, or by visiting the Lincoln Center Box Office at 417 West Magnolia Street.
