Trader Joe’s Recalls Some Walnuts

A product recall is never ideal.

Since Trader Joe's is new to Fort Collins, they could be doubly upset that one of the first news stories we report on them deals with salmonella. Not great.

But, things happen. They aren't the first, they won't be the last, and this little development isn't going to keep me from shopping there from time to time.

The product being recalled is walnuts. The information follows.

• Raw California Walnuts; 16-ounce packages; “best by” 12/2015; lot numbers GU4345, GU4346, GU4349, GU4356, GU4350, GU4343, GU4344, GU4351 and GU4352
• Organic Raw Walnuts, 12-ounce packages, “best by” dates between October and December 2015
