Water World is the perfect place to cool off during the hot summer months, and lucky for us, with the 80° days we've already been having, it officially opens for the season next Saturday, May 26. Not only will the popular water park be re-opening for the summer, but several new attractions and upgrades will also be unveiled.

During the off season, Water World added a brand new signature attraction, Glacier Run, which has riders glide straight down a steep mountain, belly-down on a mat, like a penguin, at about 25 mph. The 8-lane, face-first experience will take riders past icy-blue flumes and glaciers topped with penguins on the way down. Elsewhere around Water World, the beach experience has been upgraded with new cabanas, there will be more choices available at the Watering Hole, plus new features at Lost River of the Pharaohs. In addition, high tide at Cowabunga Beach will allow open swim on beach waves from 11:30-1:30 p.m before the boogie boards take off.

Water World is open through Labor Day, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.
