Weapon-Inspired Baby Names Are On The Rise

Despite concerns in the media over gun violence in America, weapon-inspired baby names are on the rise for both boys and girls, according to new data from Nameberry.com.

Names like Magnum, Shooter, and Caliber are becoming more popular, and just last year 1,500 babies in the United States were given the name Gunner.

Names inspired by knives, intimidating movie stars, tough girls, and warriors have also grown in popularity.

Other "violent" names people are giving their children include Trigger, Pistol, Sabre, Arrow, Kimber, Barrett, Remington, Browning, and Wesson.
