Weld County Sheriff’s Office Participating in No Shave November
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in No Shave November in an effort to raise funds and awareness for cancer patients around the world. A simple thing such as growing facial hair, or having fun with a hair style is a luxury to those who are undergoing cancer treatment.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office has a strict policy regarding facial hair while on duty. While we take our appearance seriously, and strive to be professional in everything we do, there are times when it is acceptable to bend the rules a little bit!
Any employees who choose to participate in this program will be raising funds through noshave.org; an organization devoted to raising funds for cancer research as well as providing free information and services to cancer patients and their families.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office felt it necessary to inform the Weld County community of this event, as we did not want anyone to think there were imposters with stunning facial hair or amazing hair styles in the community working to serve and protect the citizens of Weld County.
