Driving high can earn you a DUI.

Just like alcohol, the average cost of the charge, when all is said and done, will be around $10,000. Yep, whether you are sloppy drunk or slightly stoned, if you are caught driving high, you will be charged and prosecuted. Police are on the lookout for stoned motorists, and the chief of the Colorado State Patrol made sure to track who was arrested for which substance in 2014.

It turns out that about 12% of DUI and DUID arrests were pot related last year.

Many marijuana users didn't know that they could get a DUI for driving high. Some didn't even know if it would impair their driving or not.

The video above shows that while it may not be as bad as alcohol, marijuana obviously impairs the ability to operate a vehicle safely.
