I knew that a side effect of our huge effort of raising awareness for breast cancer awareness month would be that I would learn things I didn't know before.

Put the idea of thermography, and more specifically, breast thermography in that category.

Before this month, I had never heard of it.

Mammograms are still the recommended method of checking for breast cancer. Until that changes, you'll have to decide for yourself if you want to go that route, or the thermographic route.

The purpose of this blog is not to determine which is better, but rather to let you know that thermography exists and is accessible to you.

As suggested in the video at top, thermography should be an added procedure to mammography. However, there are people who think that the radiation involved in mammography will make that a procedure that goes away in the future.
