Windsor officials have announced plans to replace a bridge in Weld County. You may want to consider this as your commute to or from Windsor may be diverted.

WCR 21 between WCR 70 and Highway 392 will be closed through June 1 starting on January 22. The closure will be to replace the bridge that is just north of Highway 392.

The Town of Windsor received Federal Grant from the Federal Highway Administration through the Colorado Department of Transportation to replace the bridge over the Greeley No. 2 Canal on Weld County Road 21 north of Colorado State Highway 392. The Town has hired J.U.B. Engineers, Inc. to design a three-sided concrete box culvert to replace the current steel girder bridge, which is below the State’s acceptable sufficiency rating.

WCR 21 connects Windsor and Highway 392 north to the west edge of Severance. This was a project that was started last year and needs to be done. Although the work will be lengthy, it will be much better than before and hopefully won't change much in your daily commute.

  • The northbound detour from SH 392 is Hollister Lake Road/CR 19 to CR 70 to CR 23
  • The southbound detour from CR 23 is CR 70 to Hollister Lake Road/CR 19 to SH 392
