Only the far southwestern corner of Colorado that is officially in a drought a fifth of the state is "abnormally dry", according to the Drought Monitor.

The drought area includes the southern halves of La Plata and Montezuma Counties.

From mid-June to late September the monsoon usually helps, but we didn't receive a big monsoon season this year.

Reservoir levels are remaining above average because of the spring snowmelt.

More good news: overall Colorado drought conditions are the lowest in years.

Drought concerns will increase if there are more dry months.
