Ace Hardware of Fort Collins, formally Clays' Ace Hardware, is celebrating their new name and ownership with three days of grand opening festivities, happening September 16-18, 2016 at 1001 East Harmony Road, Unit B. The three-day event will feature live music, complimentary food and drinks, as well as tons of giveaways and special discount offers taking place inside the store.

Beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 16, visitors can get themselves signed up for the grand opening giveaway - the winner will be taking home a brand new Weber gas grill at the end of the weekend. Shoppers can also take advantage of 50 percent off any regular priced item under $30 all day on Friday and the tailgate party kicks off at 4 p.m., featuring live music from The Roctors and delicious food, courtesy of Chef Jason More from Culinary 5280. During the tailgate, guests have the opportunity to spin the wheel to win a free gift. Saturday, September 17 is Family Day. From 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., all guests will receive a free hot dog and drink, and there will be a bounce castle on-site for the kiddos to enjoy. Plus, the first 700 customers will be given a free five-gallon bucket, in which 20 percent will be taken off everything that fits into it. The celebration continues on Sunday with free face painting from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., free root beer floats from 1-4 p.m., $10 off any purchase of $50 or more, and capping things off with the grill giveaway at 4 p.m.

The store's ownership transfer originally took place in late 2015, and with the unveiling of the new name, the current owners are using this time to remind the Northern Colorado community of everything that Ace stands for and to also show how much they appreciate their loyal customers. Ace Hardware of Fort Collins makes it their priority to help members of the community master any DIY project they have in mind by providing the proper resources and tools in order to do so. For more information on the event or Ace Hardware of Fort Collins, please visit
