Bacon already makes everything better, but combine some crispy slices along with some refreshing craft beer, and your taste buds are in for a real treat. If your stomach is already growling at the sound of this perfect pairing, you're in luck, because the Bacon and Beer Classic is coming to Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Saturday, April 16. A one-day festival completely dedicated to bacon and beer? Yes please!

Denver favorites, such as Bad Daddy's Burger Bar and Vesta Dipping Grill, as well as many other local restaurants and chefs, will be serving up over 50 different concoctions of bacon-infused dishes. Indulge in some seriously delicious eats, like sushi-wrapped bacon, bacon-topped burgers, pork tacos, and even bacon-flavored desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth – FYIbacon dipped in chocolate sauce is actually pretty amazing, if you've never tried it. Be sure to stop by the People's Choice Booth and vote for whichever dish you think is the best, and if you really want to prove your passion for pork, get yourself entered to compete in the Bacon Eating Contest. In between bacon bites, quench your thirst with a variety of over 100 craft beer and cider samples, provided by Colorado breweries from all around the state. These two mouthwatering items really do go hand in hand together – except in this case, you'll have bacon in one hand and beer in the other.

Besides just eating and drinking your way around the stadium, there will tons of other fun things for festival-goers to take part in. Brand yourself with temporary bacon and beer tattoos and then snap some pics in the photo booth, get inspired with cooking demos, challenge a friend to a game of giant Jenga (winner gets to pick which bacon dish the loser has to eat), or battle it out on the inflatable bungee run...just remember to put your beer down first.

The Bacon and Beer Classic will be broken down into two separate sessions – an afternoon session taking place from 1-4 p.m. and an evening session happening from 7-10 p.m. If you want to attend both parts of the event, you must purchase two separate tickets. At the end of the first session, all attendees will be cleared out, and you will need to show a second ticket in order to gain re-entry. You must be 21 or older to attend this event. General admission tickets are $59, or for a bit more, there are also VIP ($99) and Early Bird ($75) options, which give these ticket holders the opportunity to enter the stadium earlier than everybody else. VIP tickets also allow for access down onto the field, where additional craft beer vendors will be set up. All tickets come with a complimentary souvenir tasting glass and as many samples as your belly can handle. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will go directly towards benefiting local food rescue organizations, as well as to other national charities including City Harvest, Citymeals-on-Wheels, Zero Percent and more.
