When it comes to crime in Fort Collins, the police department has made a handy Neighborhood Update map available, so people are able to know what's going on when they hear a bunch of sirens or see emergency vehicles on their street.

Now, the security company ADT has taken it a step further with their own interactive map, that breaks down what types of crimes occur in individual zip codes. The map was created to give users as much up-to-date information regarding crime statistics as possible, while also showing which categories they fall into, such as assaults and robberies. After looking at your community's statistics, users can also compare the data to the national average for crime in the associated categories.

Below is a map for the zip code 80526:

Compared to the national stats, Fort Collins is below average in all nine categories except larceny, in which it's equal to the average, and rape, where it falls slightly above.

The stats change from zip to zip throughout Northern Colorado, as you can see from Evans' results, which pretty much all landed above the national average in every category except motor vehicle theft. Yikes.
