Fall is a great time for chili, and with winter coming, it's a great time to raise funds to help the homeless population in Loveland. Saturday's the day!

The 'Heads on Beds Chili and Concert' event on October 20, 2018, is the inaugural fundraising event for 137 Connection Day Center in Loveland. It will be a day-long event of chili, dancing and live music at The Boar and Bull. It starts at Noon and will run until 6 p.m.; the suggested donation is $20- they hope to raise $25,000 on Saturday.

According to the Reporter-Herald, 137 Connection, which also facilitates overnight sheltering, has been under the umbrella of House of Neighborly Service for over nine years. Eligible clients are offered case management, advocacy, and referrals including mental health assessments and substance abuse counseling. They also offer showers, laundry, storage, phone, computer and mail services.

Monies raised on Saturday will go toward helping 137 Connection not having to use the House of Neighborly Service general fund, (as they usually end up $30,000 in the hole  each year) while serving the city's homeless.]

With chili, dancing and live music, the event is open to the whole family!
