The Denver Nuggets have a new head coach. Multiple sources are pointing to a hire most recently out of Sacramento.

9 News is reporting that the Nuggets have hired Michael Malone. Malone comes from the Sacramento Kings where he was fired after the 2014-2015 season.

His coaching career began with the New York Knicks in 2001 as the coaching assistant. He later moved on to assistant coach in 2003.

His resume doesn't stop with the Knicks, Malone was the assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers for five years and was AS for the New Orleans Hornets in the 2010-2011 season.

While assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors, he managed to upset the third-seed Nuggets in the first round.
